VALENTINE SLIM, aka Christian Pestalozzi, is a long-time Washington, D.C. music maker. He began studying piano at the age of 7 and playing guitar at the age of 12. Famed blues artist Bobby Radcliff played lead guitar in Christian's high school group Froggy Little. Christian went on to form, front, and play in many other bands in Washington, D.C., New York's Catskills, and New Mexico. He performed on vocals and guitar in the SLAM and Rock Garden (D.C.), and on congas in No Trend (recording on an album for Touch and Go Records), Style 32, and Sky to Ground (all in D.C.)
